God is our heavenly father who protects us and loves us. God also blesses us with earthly fathers who are also supposed to love their little ones and raise them in the way of the Lord. One father’s advice to his little girl about how to deal with anger has gone viral, and he is definitely going to win father of the year for the amazing example he is setting!
Randy Gaines was caught on video crouching down to have a talk with one of his daughters. You soon find out that Randy had been joking with his daughter earlier that day and had called her a playful name he often kids with her about. But on that particular day, his little girl was offended by the name and wasn’t having it. Randy then proceeds to give her this advice:
“You don’t always have to be happy, you don’t always have to be silly or funny, you don’t have to be anything,” he says. “The important thing is—whenever you’re feeling that way—to not just stay there all the time. You want to accept it, you want to honor it, you want to acknowledge it, and let it go.”
The conversations were caught on camera by Randy’s wife, who was amazed by her husband’s kind and caring advice. She later posted the video on Facebook and had this to say: “My heart explodes when he connects to his girls like this,” she wrote. “No yelling. No screaming. Talking. Discussing emotions and why we have such feelings.” She also goes on to explain that neither she nor Randy saw this type of love or patience from their parents in their own childhoods, but together they decided to teach their girls they are “still loved no matter what.”
“I am so blessed and so thankful to have this man as my other half,” she wrote. “Our girls are blessed to have him as their father. Thank you, Randy Gaines, for being you!”
