We are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
The Industrial Revolution transformed the way we create, sell, purchase, and utilize products that once required enormous amounts of time, human effort, and attention to detail. With machines, assembly lines, and now automated computerized mechanisms, we can mass-produce virtually every tangible product—from measuring spoons to cars—for a mass market.
But faith cannot be mass-produced as a one-size-fits-all commodity. Our relationship with Christ is personal, specific, and unique. While it’s not subjective and simply based on our feelings, our faith journey is one that is ours and ours alone. We learn from others, we share miles along the way, but we also know that ultimately, God is both our travel guide and fuel source.
The good work he’s doing in you probably won’t look the same way it looks in someone else, and certainly not at the same pace. Today you can enjoy the ride, knowing that even when the road gets bumpy, God is doing his good work in your life.
