On Easter Sunday this year, 81-year old Mary Dartnall passed away due to the coronavirus. After hearing the tragic news, her husband, Bill Dartnall, who was a 90-year old retiree, who was also diagnosed with the coronavirus, immediately refused to wear his oxygen mask. Five hours later, on the same day, Bill took his last breaths too.

The couple from Southampton, England had been together since the 1950s and according to their daughters, Rosemary and Ann, they were inseparable and came as a pair. They said that their dad “would not have wanted to live without mum.”

Rosemary said that when he was told that his wife had passed away, he tried pulling off the oxygen mask from his face and made it very clear that he did not want to receive treatment anymore. He continued to be cared for and a few hours later, he passed away peacefully in his sleep.

Mary fell ill a week before she passed, and after she became unresponsive, she was rushed to the hospital where she was diagnosed with coronavirus. Then, a few days later, Bill suffered from a stroke and was taken to the hospital, where it was confirmed that he had tested positive for coronavirus as well.

Praying for their family.
