Sadly, Barry Gibb has now lost 3 brothers but back in 1997 Barry, Robin and Maurice ‘The Bee Gees’ sang with their late brother Andy one more time using his vocals.
The Bee Gees formed in 1958. Their lineup consisted of brothers Barry, Robin, and Maurice Gibb. The trio were successful for most of their decades of recording music, but they had two distinct periods of exceptional success: as a popular music act in the late 1960s and early 1970s, and as prominent performers of the disco music era in the mid-to-late 1970s. The group sang recognisable three-part tight harmonies; Robin’s clear vibrato lead vocals were a hallmark of their earlier hits, while Barry’s R&B falsetto became their signature sound during the mid-to-late 1970s and 1980s. The Bee Gees wrote all of their own hits, as well as writing and producing several major hits for other artists.
Andy Gibb was the youngest brother of the Bee Gees.
Andy came to international prominence in the late 1970s with six singles that reached the Top 10 in the United States, starting with “I Just Want to Be Your Everything” (1977), followed by three other top 20 singles. Gibb’s success was brief due to drug addiction and depression. He died just five days after turning 30.
Watch as Barry, Robin and Maurice sing with Andy one more time using his vocals in a live concert back in 1997.
FACT: 10 out of 10 people WILL DIE....But how of many of them know JESUS?
Dear Sister and Brother,
- 1. God IS in control even when everything in our live seems to be crashing down around us.
- 2. Life is not always fair, it rains on the just and the unjust…we should not compare our lives to others but focus on the plan God has for us.
- 3. Bad things will happen in this world, but God promised us a home in heaven if we believe in Jesus. One without sorrow, pain or death…where we never will grow old.
