What Do You Depend On?

The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe.

Proverbs 18:10

Our Firm Foundation

More than ever, your world changes not just daily but hourly. Relationships come and go, and new opportunities flash before you while other doors close. Information assaults you from the multitude of media sources constantly competing to attract attention. Disasters strike and tragedies unfold, along with an occasional unexpected surprise. With so much change, it’s hard to feel as though you’re on solid ground. The world can feel like a strange and unfamiliar place from one day to the next.

This is why you can’t survive without the firmest foundation for your life. God remains the same regardless of what the stock market does or how many companies downsize. You can rest in the knowledge that no matter how chaotic and unstable the rest of your life may feel, your relationship with your Father is rock solid.

Pray: “God, I’m so grateful that you’re always the same. The uncertainty of all that can change in life sometimes scares me. But then I remember that you’re in control.”

Dear Sister and Brother,

  1. 1. God IS in control even when everything in our live seems to be crashing down around us.
  2. 2. Life is not always fair, it rains on the just and the unjust…we should not compare our lives to others but focus on the plan God has for us.
  3. 3. Bad things will happen in this world, but God promised us a home in heaven if we believe in Jesus. One without sorrow, pain or death…where we never will grow old.
