This 12-Year-Old’s Voice Is So Good That Simon Calls Her The Next Taylor Swift!

Everybody has dreams. Some dream of becoming successful businessmen while other dream of becoming a star. It’s no secret that you must always work for your dreams to come true, no matter how small. If you want a hike, you have to work for it. If you want a fancy new car, you have to save up for it. If you want a fairytale wedding, you have to make it happen on your own. But sometimes, a little miracle here and there will help you along.

This is the story of Grace VanderWaal, a 12-year-old girl who loves to sing. And she decided to showcase her talent on the popular TV show America’s Got Talent. Now, anyone who’s watched this show knows that the judges, especially Simon Cowell, can be pretty direct and even ruthless. Not only do you have to win their approval, you also have to please the hundreds of people sitting in the audience. Typically, vocal contestants cover a popular song that most people know, but Grace was going to show them something they’ve never seen before.

When the soft-spoken girl walked on stage with her ukulele, it was apparent that she was nervous. She surprised the judges when she said that she was going to perform her own original song, something that’s not very commonly seen on the show. Howie Mandel, a judge, asked her if she thought she would win, and Grace said that she believed in miracles, so there’s a chance.

After the judges gave her the go, Grace began signing her own song called “I Don’t Know My Name.” Her voice blew the judges away and the members of the audience could be seen stunned by her performance. She received a standing ovation from the judges as well as the entire audience.

Before she began singing, Grace told the judges that her own friends aren’t aware that she sings. But after her incredible performance, Mandel said that the world will now know her name. Simon Cowell, who is usually not known for compliments, told Grace that he predicts she will be the next Taylor Swift. Mandel pressed the golden buzzer, and Grace is off to the next round of the competition.

This young girl captured the hearts of many with her wholesome performance and even and original song. It shows how far hard work and talent can take you. We may even perhaps see her rise to fame in the near future.

Dear Sister and Brother,

  1. 1. God IS in control even when everything in our live seems to be crashing down around us.
  2. 2. Life is not always fair, it rains on the just and the unjust…we should not compare our lives to others but focus on the plan God has for us.
  3. 3. Bad things will happen in this world, but God promised us a home in heaven if we believe in Jesus. One without sorrow, pain or death…where we never will grow old.
